I have an Apple Home setup that includes most all of my lights, handful of HomePod Minis, and Apple TVs. I am planning to install a Unifi setup in the spring to include doorbells and cameras. I plan to stick with Apple, no interest in figuring out Home Assistant – just not that tech savvy.
That said, what are you announcing in your house that you need this whole home amplifier setup? Genuine question, don’t mean that to be snarky. I’ve seen several whole home audio setups, but I can’t figure out why that is better than a gaggle of HomePod Minis scattered throughout the house.
Glad I came across your video! So I’m in the middle of a home build and I have 6 zones going in. My plan was to go with the Monoprice multizone amp. What really had me interested in this setup is the fact it has controllers I can put in each room and I can select which sources are playing in each zone. This however is introducing more wall clutter (the controller). I may of overlooked how this works in your video but how does that work here? Are you controlling that always over wifi with your phone/watch, etc? Is this a big benefit with this amp vs the monoprice I’m considering? Thanks!
Trying to figure if i can use this as a little pa system. Just want to amplify our priest during services for little bits at a time. Thinking two to four sonos roams with the audio source being a wireless mic like dji or hollyland
