I Own 60 Power Banks. Only 3 Are Worth Buying (2026)
Took over 2 months and 13 brand new power banks to figure this out BUT I finally locked down the 3 worth buying. Been upgrading my rigs and had to add a few more tools in order to full test the power banks.
The most surprising was the brand of the winner. Sharge beat both Anker and UGREEN. Actually Anker didn’t make it into the Top 3.
Last years winner? It was number 8. Still a good bank but lots of better ones nowadays.

How I Test ๐งช (
-Bought all 13 banks myself (collection is at about 60 now, I might have a problem)
-Drained and recharged every bank half a dozen full cycles on a custom rig
-Logged energy in, energy out and temperature the whole way
-Pushed every port as hard as it goes, then harder, to find out how each bank fails
-Over 220 hours of logged charge data
-Field averages across all 13: 84% of claimed capacity, 79.9% round trip, 2h15m recharge, $1.32 USD per real Wh
TL:DW Summary Below
๐ฅ 1. SHARGE HyperTower X6 –
-$90 US / $125 CAD, mid-priced
-79.0 Wh actually came out, 85% of the 92.5 Wh on the box
-Coolest bank in the entire test (31.9ยฐC draining, 36.5ยฐC recharging) and cool in both directions
-Fastest refill of the three: 1h50m at 52W, only one bank in the test was faster and that one’s broken
-My runs came within 0.21% of each other, the most repeatable result of all 13.
-160W across two ports, protects the laptop port and drops the phone under overload (correct priority)
-Quirk: the first built-in cable and the bare USB-C share a rail, plug into the bare port and it drops cable one. Not a power limit, just how it’s wired
-Real price $1.14 per usable Wh, under the $1.32 average
-The bank you don’t have to think about
๐ฅ 2. INIU P62-E1 –
-$40 US / $56 CAD, the cheapest bank in the entire test, less than half my #1
-The only bank that prints an honest output number on the box (65 Wh) next to the marketing number (73 Wh)
-67.8 Wh actually came out, 104% of its own claim. Nothing else in the test beat its number
-84% round trip, the most efficient bank I tested, and it refills in 1h58m
-Real price $0.59 per usable Wh, the only bank cheaper than its own sticker and under half the field average
-Quietly puts out 100W total (65W + 36W) despite the 65W rating
-Runs cool draining (35.3ยฐC) but the second-hottest recharge in the test (43.8ยฐC)
-The fatal flaw: 65W on a single port is its ceiling, not enough for a big MacBook Pro in a bind
-If price and portability matter, buy this one
๐ฅ 3. UGREEN Nexode 200W (PB728) –
-$84 US / $117 CAD, slightly below average price
-76.2 Wh actually came out, 85% of the 90 Wh on the box, a hair above the 84% average
-Refills in 2h flat at 48W, 79% round trip, a hair below average
-Third-coolest bank of 13 (32.7ยฐC draining, 38ยฐC recharging), no throttling, no shutdowns
-The only bank that’s true to its wattage claim: a genuine 200W across two USB-C ports, 100W each, and it just sits there. Anker’s flagship peaks higher (~290W) but thermally shuts down in 3 to 4 minutes
-Only tripped when I maxed one port and hot-plugged a second max load. That’s me trying to break it, not you using it. Four devices on it right now, no issues
-The screen is terribly slow
-Real price $1.10 per usable Wh, still good value, just not the value the box implies
-Buy it only if you’re charging two big things at once

Last one is slow charging but also fast charging…? What
ugreen my GOATTTTTT
I really like you doing the actual work, but I would love an actual spreadsheet or a reputable site where you can just get a decent, high capacity battery bank for the cheapest price. (I.e. amazon links)
E.g. cooperating with e.g. LTT labs or ratings or something.
I don’t get the obsession with >10W charge rates though. I just want a guarantee my phone doesn’t die so I can prove I have a ticket.
